SS501’s Kim Kyu Jong reveals his ‘Prince Charming’ look for “Goong” musical

SS501’s Kim Kyu Jong has transformed into ‘Prince Charming’.
The idol was cast as the main character ‘Lee Shin‘ for the musical “Goong“. On April 13th, he finished the poster photoshoot for the performances in Japan, and unveiled his ‘prince look’ for the very first time.
Kim Kyu Jong donned a luxurious dress coat, and emphasized his royal position with his haughty facial expression and lax body language. Although his picture looks very arrogant, it’s said that he made the photoshoot atmosphere very bright with his funny quips and laid-back attitude.
After filming, the idol-turned-actor stated, “I received a lot of advice from TVXQ’s Yunho hyung, who played this role before. I worried a lot about being cast as the main character, but I was fascinated by connecting with the audience. It’s a little awkward now but I’ll present my own Kyu Jong prince, different from the past princes in the musical. I hope you’ll all be interested.”
The ‘Goong’ musical will run in Kyoto, Japan from June 11th to July 1st.

Kim Hyun Joong ranks number 1 as the Most Handsome in Korea in a Spanish website called “Listas”. Kim Hyun Joong garnered a score of 1,406,080 points in the poll, followed by Jang Keun Suk who got 1,397,150 points then followed by his bandmates in  ANJell, Lee Hong Ki of F.T. Island with 357,190 points and Jung Yong Hwa of CN Blue with 24,980 points. The List was composed of 26 Actors and Musicians. The poll was created last January 27, 2011 with a total of 5,171,460 points or votes as of now. Beside Hyun Joong there is another BOF cast include in the poll. There is Lee Min Ho at ranks 6th. SS501’s Kim Kyu Jong to participate for the musical “GOONG” in Japan

Previously we reported that SS501’s Kim Kyu Jong would participate as the role of ‘Lee Shin (Prince Shin)’ in the musical “GOONG” which will be staged in Japan and now more information has arisen.

The musical premiered last year in Korea and TVXQ’s Yunho was cast as the leading role of Prince Shin. The musical was a hot topic because the attendance figures showed that more than 60% of the audience were foreigners with the Japanese making up the largest portion.

On Kim Kyu Jong’s role, the production company stated, “Kim Kyu Jong has already shown off his impressive vocal and dance talent while working with SS501. With his handsome looks, he’s distinguished himself in a variety of fields. We’re looking forward to working with him, as he is determined and passionate about his role.”

GOONG will be performed from June 11th, 2011 to July 1st, 2011 at the Minamiza Kabuki Theater in Kyoto. Ticket sales will begin on April 14th.

SS501’s Kim Hyung Joon shows off his language skills

On April 13th, SS501′s Kim Hyung Joon guested on MBC’s “Radio Star” and participated in a ‘blank sheet’ special with ZE:A’s Kwanghee and Kim Jong Min.

The nickname ‘blank sheet’ is normally associated with SECRET’s Sunhwa, and it’s used to express a person who’s clueless or dumb. For this special, the three were tested on their Chinese character skills, and were asked to write their names in ‘Hanja’.

Kim Hyung Joon was unfortunately the only one to get it wrong and excused himself by exclaiming, “It’s because I used to live in Australia.”

When asked how long he lived there, he hilariously replied, “Two years.”

The men were also tested on their English skills, which Kim Hyung Joon expressed his confidence with.  When asked to write ‘Boys Be Ambitious’, Kim Hyung Joon mistakenly wrote ‘voice’ for ‘boys’ and switched out the ‘a’ in ‘ambitious’ with an ‘e’.

He once again joked by giving the excuse, “The pronunciation was a bit weird.” Unfortunately, the MCs saw right through his excuse and amused themselves by teasing him endlessly.

Kim Kyu Jong reminisces over SS501’s debut days + confirmed for ‘Goong’ musical

On April 11th, SS501′s Kim Kyu Jong took a trip down memory lane with his fans by sharing photos of him and his fellow members from the time of their promotions together.
He excitedly wrote, “2005!!! Time flies so fast!! Wooooow hehe. It’s spring~!! Hooray!!!! Let’s all laugh and find strengthhhhh.” The pictures he shared ranged from comical shots, to profile shots, and even a heartwarming shot of the group at the beach, all holding hands.
Previously, Kyu Jong had expressed his longing for his bandmates by bringing up their debut year. On April 1st, he tweeted, “2005.  It’s already 2011.”
Fans commented, “I really miss those times”, “I want to see SS501 as five again on stage”, and “Kyu Jong is the last one to announce any promotion plans, so it feels good seeing that he’s doing well.”

Heo Young Saeng ‘Dance’ Solo… Works with KARA’s Composer

SS501 Heo YoungSaeng opens fire for his solo activities.
His agency B2M Entertainment revealed on 8-Apr “Heo YoungSaeng is working with Sweetunes who made most of the hit songs for KARA, and returns for his solo activities. He will be standing on stage differently with a powerful dance song.”
Heo YoungSaeng is the main vocal of SS501 and has gained recognition for his singing ability. His title song LET IT GO, is a impressive song with powerful beat. Eve though fans expected that he would have a sensual ballad song, he chose the unexpected. He hopes that with his comeback as a solo, he can appeal to fans with his singing ability as well as his dancing ability which he has put in a lot of efforts all these while.
Agency’s representative said “Heo YoungSaeng sang Bi’s ‘Song to hold you’ during his fan meeting, and displayed his excellent dance ability. The performance this time will be also different from the days of group activities, you will be able to see a new side of him.”

Singer Park JungMin from group SS501, released a photobook consisting of various of his charisma, from sweet to chic.

Released on 8-Apr, the photobook included with Park JungMin’s first mini album ‘The, Park Jung Min’, is Park JungMin’s first ever solo photobook and contains diverse attraction of Park JungMin. He shows an even wider range of acting skills from the ‘charisma chic’ image shown in his last single album ‘Not Alone’.

With the photobook is the so-called main cover of ‘The, Park JungMin’ which you cannot tell which is the front and back, the two-sided concept of the album gained much attention.

Kim Joon’s fans deliver food and drinks for 400 people to the set of “Crime Squad”

Actor Kim Joon’s fans have delivered a gigantic amount of gifts in food and drinks to KBS’s ‘Crime Squad’ team.

DCInside’s ‘Kim Joon Gallery’ and T-Max’s (group Kim Joon is a member of) fancafe ‘Go T-Max’ delivered snacks worthy of 100 people from the start of ‘Crime Squad’ filming, a total of four times, handing out each personally to Kim Joon’s co-actors and actresses, as well as the staff.

Park Jung Min reveals pictures from his upcoming photobook

SS501’s Park Jung Min has revealed some photos from his new photobook, which ranges in concept from sweet to chic.

Eight days after releasing his first mini-album, “The, Park Jung Min“, we’re finally able to see some of the images from the photobook, which is packaged with the physical album.  For one, both the front and back cover of the photobook have been designed to look as if they are two different album covers, and show the two different concepts of “tears”.  One cover (white) shows the tears of a pure-hearted man, while the other cover (dark) shows the tears of a tragic man.

Park Jung Min will be busy the rest of the year, as he’s planning on promoting in Taiwan, China, and Japan.

Rumors fly about Kim Kyu-jong becoming a Prince!

  SS501′s Kim Kyu-jong is the center of his band and the latest netizen rumors. Netizens and Triple S alike are thrilled with the current “rumors” of their favorite Double S star joining the  Japanese theatre cast of  ”Princess Hours”.

His entertainment company, B2M Entertainment, states that the news isn’t true yet! They have received the invite and have talked with the production company,however, nothing has been finalized.

When will we hear the official good news about the singer-turned-actor?

B2M: ” News about the play will be addressed next week on Kim Kyu-jong’s Official Website.”

The almost Prince Shin may appear in “Princess Hours” June 4th- 23rd at the Kyoto Minami Theatre in Japan.

SS501’s Heo Young Saeng to make his solo debut with a dance track, “Let It Go”

SS501′s Heo Young Saeng will finally be following in the footsteps of his bandmates by going solo!
His agency, B2M Entertainment, revealed, “Heo Young Saeng will be working with Sweetunes, the composing team behind the majority of KARA’s hit tracks. He won’t be going for a ballad, but will present a strong dance track instead.”
As the main vocalist of SS501, Heo Young Saeng already had his vocal talent recognized by the masses. Consequently, fans expected him to come out with a sultry ballad that displayed more of his talent. Young Saeng, however, is more determined than ever to show a new side of himself through his title track, “Let It Go.”
With three out of the five SS501 members promoting in the industry, and Kim Hyun Joong preparing for his solo as well, fans can expect a busy year from the members. Kim Kyu Jong will also be transitioning into acting, and is currently taking acting lessons.
Young Saeng’s album will be released on April 28th.

Kim Hyun Joong – Solo Debut in June!

Actor and SS501 member Kim Hyunjoong will also be releasing his solo debut album this year. He is the fourth SS501 this year to be releasing a solo album. He follows Park Jungmin (“The, Park Jungmin”),Kim Hyungjoon (“Girl”), and Heo Youngsaeng (“Let It Go”). Kim Kyujong is the only SS501 member to have not announced an album release so far, and he will be focusing on his acting instead.
Kim Hyunjoong’s solo album will be released in June and he will make his official debut as a solo singer. A representative from his agency, Key East, said to Newsen in an interview on April 8th, “A variety of songs have been selected and he will soon go into recording.”
He will be focusing on the recording of his album and will not participate in external activities.
